JRVCC History

The history of JRVCC Cabuyao started in December of 2005 composed of 4 persons in a cell group. Brother Jojo Dumlao led the cell group together with Myra Dumlao, Jejie Canlas and Amy Llantero started a cell group in Dumlao residence every Friday. After two years, the cell group grew and multiplied into two groups. Pastor Arlan Laroya of JRVCC Las Piñas led the other cell group. There were already twenty cell group members. Joint cell groups were held once every two months. Cell group Anniversaries and Christmas parties were celebrated at the same time. These cell group activities took place in each member’s residence for almost four years. There was no permanent place for worship. Until finally, on the early part of 2009, some of the members suggested to have a Sunday Fellowship. Since most of the members live in the same neighborhood, they all agreed. Brother Jojo Dumlao together withPastor Arlan Laroya and the members prayed and asked God’s will for the church. A cell group member offered one of their houses to be the worship hall. The church rented it at a very affordable price. All of the members donated chairs to be used every Sundays. Some of them committed to be part of the ministry. Everything went on smoothly.

The Transition Year

In March 29, 2009, the first Sunday fellowship was held. The Kids’ Cell Group was formed after two months. Youth Cell Group was also formed. But there were also ups and downs. After a year, the owner of the house that the church was renting was planning to sell the house. Although it was not immediate, we were already praying for a place to transfer. In December 2010, a member of the church acquired a house in the neighborhood and offered it to be our new worship hall for free. It was really an answered prayer. On that same month, we moved and celebrated our Christmas party on the new worship hall.
